Alison Baldwin
Alison is an experienced and talented cook and baker. Alongside The Oast Studio, she also runs her successful Oast Bakery, supplying local farm shops and cafe's with her much loved cakes. She provides all our classes with freshly baked treats and delicious home cooked lunches too.
Alison's genuine warmth and welcoming presence are the essence of The Oast Studio, and make it the place to be.

Annabelle Davis
Annabelle first learned to sew at school where she was fortunate to have a creatively rich education. After graduating from art school, she went on to work as a graphic designer in design studios in London.
She now teaches a broad range of skills from sewing and crochet, to block printing and rug making. Her aim is to provide a space for people to be creative and find a calming atmosphere where they can thrive.

Cecily Kate Borthwick Jett
With a professional background in Stage & Costume design, Cecily Kate first discovered needle felting in California during a parent's evening at her son’s Kindergarden. Since then her commissions have made their way around world. She has honed her skills to become the expert we know today with an excellent eye for good form and detail. Cecily Kate has been needle felting professionally for over 14 years and we are blessed to have her on the team.

Nick Vane
Nick Vane lives in Forest Row and is a basket maker with fifteen years experience of teaching groups both in supported-living and recreational pop-up workshop settings. He uses traditional methods, materials and tools in his basketry and is a gentle and inspiring teacher.
His hope is that basket weaving should be enjoyable and could go on to become a fulfilling new hobby.

Nicoline Falmer-Nielsen
Nicoline styled dozens of Christmas trees at Selfridges, designed sets for theatre and created models & costumes for Madame Tussaud. With her eye for style and a wish to offer products that bring greater sustainability and creativity to everyday life, she is part of the team that is 'The Danes' selling beautiful Scandinavian lifestyle products.
She is our Flower Queen, running all our popular paper flower making classes.

Ruth Johnston
Ruth was first introduced to wet on wet painting as a child at school and later as a parent and in her work in early years settings. She recently completed her training in Transpersonal Arts in Therapy at Tobias School of Art in East Grinstead, where the wet on wet technique was used to explore emotions and creativity. As well as teaching she also works as an art therapist at Age UK and The Ashdown Hub.

Fiona Le Vien
Fiona has a passion for nature, flowers and art and is active in the artistic process, enjoying oil painting, knitting, stained glass and pottery in her spare time. She now has a business making dried flower wreaths along side her other work as Sports massage therapist and Alexander Technique teacher in S.E London. She has led workshops at the Paxtons Art centre in Crystal Palace, London and done many wreath commissions.

Debbie McDermott
Debbie has been creating glass since 1995.
She works with leaded and copper foil glass, as well as applique and some fabulously detailed glass painting.

Amber Halsall
Amber Halsall crafts intricately detailed artwork across various media. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding natural world, Amber focuses on autumnal and vegetable subjects, often discovered during walks in the picturesque Kent countryside or harvested from her own garden. She relishes the challenge of capturing motion through a dynamic blend of loose and detailed styles within her compositions.​​​​​​​​​

Kate Hasted
Kate is a textile artist and maker specialising in marbling techniques. She has sold her designs to top fashion houses in New York and has exhibited her textile jewellery and artwork both in the UK and internationally.
Kate works as an arts counsellor for the Brain and Spine Foundation and has many years’ experience running creative workshops for community projects, organisations and in Adult Education. Kate is passionate about creativity and it’s ability to enhance health and wellbeing.
