We are delighted to bring you this Basket weaving workshop with Nick Vane.

Nick is a basket maker with fifteen years experience of teaching groups both in supported-living and recreational pop-up workshop settings.

This adult workshop will provide beginners with the knowledge and skills they need for making a simple round basket out of natural willow. We'll be following traditional methods which will include an introduction to the materials, tools, techniques and safety aspects so that basketry can become the beginning of a new hobby.

The group will be small so that one to one tuition can be given as necessary and all the tools etc will be available for use. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron as the willow needs to be worked wet.
