During the Spring the great spotted woodpecker is also a common visitor to our gardens, happily tucking in at bird feeders and often bringing their offspring to feeders too! As a result of such exciting sitings many of our Oast needle felting community have been asking Cecily Kate to bring this iconic British bird to life! You will learn How to wrap wool How to create a core shape for the body and head How to create symmetrically patterned wings and tail feathers How to observe reference material and follow a template How to bring the eyes to life using wool alone (no glass eyes) How to mount you woodpecker on a branch What’s included All materials including eco wool pads, needle, tools Felt and wool Branch Reference material Wire Freshly brewed coffee and tea and delicious cake baked on the premises Relaxing rural atmosphere
