This simple pattern can be made over a weekend and is delightfully comfortable to wear. FABRIC REQUIREMENTS For sizes 8 - 14, please bring 3 metres of light dress weight cotton fabric of 140cm width. For sizes 16 and above, please bring 4m of light dress weight cotton fabric of 140cm width It is a good idea to pre-wash your fabric before you come to avoid shrinkage after making your Kimono. Please avoid slippery satin or silky fabrics. Please note - If your fabric is narrower than 140cm, you will need an extra metre. You will learn: How to set up your sewing machine - and some trouble shooting How to understand the different qualities of fabric How to work from a pattern. How to sew and finish seams neatly How to make a waist tie What's included: All other materials needed Tea, coffee and custard tarts on arrival Alison from The Oast Bakery will treat us to her cakes and bakes and plenty of teas and coffees to keep us going. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, or use one of ours.
